This series has always been a slow burn. These books track a shift—from heroism, to justification, to control. Book Four is where those ideas begin to collide.

One thing I try to be consistent about with this series: I don’t write cliffhangers for the sake of momentum. This is a six-book story moving toward a final conclusion, and each book earns its ending—even when that ending complicates everything.
